PAT Testing Certificate
In todays world it is always good to make sure your guests are safe, we are proud to announce that one staff member has now passed a PAT course. During 2025 we are planning to get every portable appliance logged and tested. This will then be an ongoing maintenance plan

Grant Fund - Net Zero
After working with Blackpool Net Zero Business Academy we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant which has been put toward a new state of the art Electric Water Heater and 6 internal bathroom sensor lights.

Ground floor Toilet
After listening to customer feedback work has commenced on the installation of a new ground floor toilet, all work should be completed by Summer 2025

New Electric Board Installation
We closed the hotel for a week to get a brand new up to date electrical board fitted, this will make it easier as we upgrade the rooms to connect to the new board.

The front of the basement has been professionally tanked by the RTC GROUP (Home - RTC | RTC Group)

Exterior Soil Pipes
Since moving into 242 we knew there were multiple soil pipe issues that needed to be rectified. Not really knowing anyone local we contacted a number of companies and had lots of different ideas. We then met Karl from JF Drainage and what a great experience we have had, first class advice, first class service and a team that worked extremely hard through some very very cold weather.
Thanks for all your hard work, highly recommended and our preferred contractor for drainage issues going forward.

Flat Roof Repair
During the last few days some of our customers may have seen that we had some slight leaks to the flat roof at the front to the property. We are happy to announce that Steve (The Roofer) has been and repaired the leak and will be returning tomorrow to strip and renovate the flat roof to the rear of the property.

Upgraded - Vaillant Boiler
Vaillant are one of the leading manufacturers of boilers in the UK and as new owners of H242 we were keen to get a new boiler in place before the end of the season. It was great to find a partner to work with on a very tight deadline, so a big shout out to ‘A Class Plumbing and Electrical Ltd’.

Upgraded Wi-Fi
As new owners of Hotel 242 we have been listening to our guest feedback and we are pleased to announce we have now upgraded our WiFi. We have installed a new Virgin Media line with a 600Mbs speed which is connected to a Deco TP-Link mesh system, this will now provide a powerful WiFi to cover every corner of Hotel 242. (28/09/2022)
