My partner and I booked a 2 night stay at 242 in a Small Budget Double Room with en-suite over the firework championship weekend. Our room was just as advertised and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the breakfast both mornings in the lovely bright dining room which also had a lounge area that could be used in the day. The location just a few steps away from the tram stop and the start of the illuminations made 242 ideal for our stay. We will certainly be back :)

Hotel 242 is in the perfect location to enjoy the wonderful restaurants in brispham and near enough to get to the busy centre of Blackpool. Making it ideal for families.The hotel is immaculately clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.The breakfast is fabulous and there always seems to be an endless supply of home baked cookiesSharon and Martin are the perfect hosts and made our stay wonderful.There is great parkingI highly recommend this hotel and will visit again for sure!!10/10 in my opinion for hotel stays

Great B&B. Clean, tidy and welcoming. Great location. Would happily stay again.

A gem of a hotel that has got it all right. Not only is it a well-kept establishment in a decent part of town, it is extremely reasonably priced and did a number of things to stand out in its field:- A cooked breakfast with cereal, yogurt, fruit etc to top it up as much as you like.- Excellent hosting throughout- Actual acknowledgement of our anniversary, with a card and massive bar of chocolate!- Freshly baked cookies to which guests could help themselves, free of chargeYes you could stay closer to town, but we enjoyed the walk, about 45 minutes each way, every day of the three that we stayed there. If you don't like to walk or have mobility issues, you're right next to a tram station that will take you right into town; the ticket cost will no doubt be negligible compared to the amount saved by staying in the town centre itself, which is full of raucous humans and seagulls anyway!

Highly Recommended! 5 star hotel and service!Travelling alone with a 3 and 4 year old can be quite stressful at times, but I can’t express how grateful I am for all the help, support the entire time making mine and my little babies break the perfect little getaway thank you! Location is perfect, rooms are lovely clean and we was lucky enough to have a sea view room. The breakfast was BEAUTIFUL! This is our second stay at the excellent Hotel 242 . It’s a lovey place to stay its right on the sea front at Bispham and on the bus a tram route for Blackpool which is only 10min ride away The hotel owners Sharon and her husband are really lovely people they do everything to make your stay a very pleasant experience. Hotel 242 is such a wonderful hotel. It’s so homely and comfortable. The rooms are clean and spacious. Had a wonderful 3 night stay.Breakfast fantastic fresh and plenty to choose from.Room clean and comfortable lovely sea view.Location although slightly away from main area there is a tram stop outside or about an hours walk to tower all along sea front so beautiful walk. We did find hot water for a shower a bit hit or miss and fresh towels would of been nice so maybe a sign in the bathroom saying hang towels for not replacing or leave on floor for fresh? Plenty of tea and coffee in room.And amazing staff.

A warm welcome from hostess Sharon. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well presented. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is in a great location on Queens Promenade whilst also enjoying a quiet location. Bus and tram stops are nearby, also many restaurants, and takeaways.

Hotel 242 is a perfect place to stay. Sharon and Martyn are wonderful hosts and go out of their way to ensure the stay is a good one. The hotel is spotlessly clean with beautiful white towel and crisp white bedding. The breakfast is delicious and there is plenty to chose from.The location is perfect for best of both worlds. The busy Blackpool centre is only a few tram stops away and the more peaceful area is brispham with much nicer restaurants and shops.I’d would highly recommend this little gem of a hotel. I stayed with my husband and 11 year old daughter. The family room was brilliant.Genuinely this is a fabulous hotel run by a wonderful couple

Last minute booking for trip to Blackpool from Glasgow with our adult son for holiday weekend. What a gem couldn't ask for anything more quiet location easy access into main area by 10 min tram ride. Accomodation was first class immaculate couldn't fault at all. Good quality bedding great nights sleep and the breakfast was outstanding fresh quality ingredients cooked to perfection forget ur 4 in a bed this is the jewel in the crown fantastic hosts we'll definitely be back and will be recommending to friends and family 👍

Weather was great so not in room much. Hotel lovely and clean our host laid on little extras IE cookies fresh fruit drinks. The breakfast was amazing, I wanted to bring the chef home.

Hotel 242 is a lovely little place where we have been staying for a number of years.It has easy access to the trams, (the nearest stop is just across the road).There are a variety of interesting places to eat and drink just around the corner - Italian food, Indian food, Pizzeria, Chip shops, bars and pubs.A walk into Blackpool which we do each day takes around half/three quarters of an hour and is a lovely stroll into the town.The hotel is clean and comfortable with new beds and mattresses. The breakfast is great, you can have toast, cereals, yoghurts, pancakes, fruit and a full cooked breakfast, tea and/or coffee. Great value!The only thing I would say is that the teabags/milk/coffee weren't refreshed on our second day but that didn't matter much to us but may to some people. I am sure that if we had asked they would have given some to us.All in all it is a really nice place to stay and the new hosts are very friendly and willing to help and assist where they can.

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights in the double room with sea view,the hotel was lovely,we were made to feel very welcome by the owner and the staff were great.The room and en suite were clean and had all the essentials,tea,coffee etc..the beds were really comfortable and the breakfast was very good.The tram stop is just across the road and there are some lovely places to eat just around the corner. Generally couldn't fault the place. Breakfast was 10/10, the service from the owners was 10/10 and the hotel itself was really nice and modern. The room size was great for our little family and had everything we needed. Rooms were clean and fresh. There are nice little touches such as a tray of fresh baked goods each day. Overall a great stay and will definitely be coming back and also recommending to friends and family.

We arrived at 9am ...check in started at 2pm.We asked if we could leave our car on the car park and check in at 2pm.Yes we were told.We finally checked in at 3pm after a lovely time on the beach.Our room was just brilliant with everything we needed for our stay,the sea view was amazing, breakfast was delicious and piping hot.Our hosts were wonderful...the homemade cookies and lemonade after our long walk were very much appreciated.We will be booking our return stay very soon.

We had a very warm welcome on arrival. Everything explained keys parking do's and don't's help yourself to lemon water and a cookie, use of the dinning room for a takeaway of an evening if you need it, plates cutlery glasses just tidy your rubbish away. We stayed 3 nights with 3 very lovely breakfasts cereals fruit yogurt and cooked breakfast what more could you want. Very comfortable bed lovely room with a see view definitely be backThank you x

The welcome was warm,informative and genuine,(not happy clappy).Hotel in an excellent position. Transport easily accessible (tram or bus) to Blackpool town centre or northwards to Cleveleys and Fleetwood. My room with a sea view was excellent. The new windows kept the outside elements outside and provided a great view.Noise was kept to a minimum allowing for a great sleep. Breakfast was modest but just right. I understand 'general' toilet facilities downstairs will be installed. Parking is limited but easily accessible.A perfect 'get away' so you can choose the type of holiday you want - quite, relaxing, regenerating or venture out to a louder,traditional Blackpool holiday.

Our stay here at 242 was fantastic!On our arrival we were greeted and information waspassed on that was needed for the hotel, such as breakfast times, WiFi code etc. We were a family of 6in 2 rooms and our children were offered freshly madecookies and cold lemon water. Which after a long journey was lovely!Our rooms were basic as in decor but that was no problem for us as the rooms were big, our beds were really comfy and everywhere was clean. Would it be nice to have new decor? Maybe yes to follow on from the downstairs interior and new floors but it certainly didn’t effect our stay.We had breakfast included and as I say with being a family of 6 nothing was too much, our children would have different orders for the “fry up” breakfast and that was no problem, plenty of other options also, cereals, yogurt and fruit.The location was perfect, yes far down the prom but there was no issue as could use tram and it meant we didn’t hear any noise late at night.We chose to stay out all day keeping the children entertained so we’d head back around 8. Able to use the communal area watching tv and enjoy a takeaway with access to plates and cutlery which was perfect.And lastly the efforts towards are children were great, having chats with them and interacting.In talking to the owners it was said they’ve not had the hotel long, outside improvements had been made of winter such as new windows. And more was to follow!We are looking forward to visiting again in winter ready for seeing the lights, Thankyou so much ❤️

This is the 4th time we have stayed here. There was no doubt coming to Blackpool where we would stay this year especially as a single parent this time. Hotel is clean and decorated well. Love that it is located on the sea front with the convenience of shops and places to eat around the corner, just across the road from a play area and the tram stop. Great way to explore Blackpool whilst staying where it is quieter, away from the hustle and bustle, and nightlife of Blackpool. Great value for money. Owners were lovely as always. The last time we stayed here I was pregnant with my little girl and we wanted to stay somewhere a little quieter and it was brilliant. We came again this year and alison was so accommodating,piper absolutely loved her and the team, breakfast was amazing as usual and everything was clean and tidy. There were 5 adults and 2 children in our group, in two rooms, a family room and a triple room. Both rooms were well furnished, comfortable and homely. Well decorated and homely, very happy! The service was second to none, the hostess remembered our coffee/tea order from day one onward and couldn't do enough for us. Amazing service and hotel, will be staying again!

My family had an excellent experience at Hotel 242 for 3 night. Staff was very supportive and ready to help. The hotel was clean and I breakfast was excellent. I will not hesitate going back there with my family.

we were welcomed early when we arrived. Our room was very comfortable and the bed was really good. I slept very well as did my grandson. In the mornings the breakfast were really good. The staff were very attentive only negative which isnt the hotels fault but it was much further than I expected.

Hotel was wonderfully managed Alison was welcoming and friendly, breakfast chef was fab, even offered the children pancakes which wasn’t on the menu, the family room was lovely and clean, having a door between rooms was an added bonus, view was fantastic, tram every 12mins right outside would definitely recommend for a family who would like to enjoy black pool but stay in somewhere quieter

Just what we needed, relaxing & comfortable.. In a good position & close to village like shopping, with different eating places.. On the sea front with plenty of quiet walking, also Tram & buses right on your doorstep.. Room was clean & decorated with style..The owners were very friendly & aprouchable, would return.. Thanks..

Nice hotel,made welcome on arrival, tidy basic room,beech across the road and handy for trams to Blackpool and Fleetwood, also good breakfast ,would use again, thanks to Allison and family

3 amigos went to Blackpool for the weekend. We didn't need a spa, a swimming pool or a ballroom nor did we need an a la carte menu and we definitely didn't want to pay through the nose to be able to walk to the tower in 5 minutes. We wanted free parking, we wanted a good breakfast, we wanted to be near the sea, we wanted to be able to walk to a pub in 5 minutes, walk to a take away in 5 minutes and walk to a tram stop in 5 minutes. We just needed a room we could all sleep in, with our own toilet and shower and a host who was warm and friendly. No, it's not the Ritz but it was cheap and cheerful just like us. We got everything we needed and had a great weekend too. Would stay again with friends but maybe not with the wife for our anniversary:)

Hotel 242 team was very helpful and friendly. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived. The breakfast was lovely. They really do get to know their guests, where they are from, what they are doing whilst visiting. Nothing was to much trouble. Room was clean and comfortable and big enough as a couple. Area is quiet and tram stop right outside. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great three night stay with Alison and her lovely staff. Breakfast was amazing and set us up for the day. The only issue was the second single bed could have been bigger for a 6ft 15 year old.Clean cosy and great value for money.

Our stay at Hotel242 was good, although I have to admit that the bed was really the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on! Worst 3 nights sleep ever. Also, I shouldn't have let my pride get in the way of admitting I have a disability then maybe we wouldn't of had a room on the top floor!The owners themselves were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, good variety and staff were attentive.

The hotel decor was beautiful and the location very peaceful. The staff were accommodating and friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. The staff were helpful in telling us about the tram and bus service where we were able to get a 24 hour ticket. Breakfast was very nice and staff offered us a range of products at breakfast. We will be staying again in the near future

We found the staff to be friendly and accommodating and appreciated the flexible arrival, late departure times and long breakfast duration. The room was clean, comfortable and suited our needs, with a double and single bed and ensuite shower room, with constant hot water. We found plenty of drawer space and a clothes hanging rail and room for our suitcases. There was a good choice for breakfast, including the children's menu.The price for our stay was within our budget and we were able to get a booking just 10 days in advance, for bed and breakfast. Although parking on the property was limited, we were found a space and also informed of some unrestricted residential spots close by.We made good use of the frequent trams, with a stop very near the hotel, along the promenade and our son enjoyed the playground opposite and the local amusement arcade. We also found an array of shops, cafes, restaurants and a major supermarket within easy walking distance from the hotel.We loved our little seaside stay, away from, but within easy access of the hustle and bustle of the town centre and piers and thewonderful weather made it all the more enjoyable! Thank you.

Lovely short break in this gem of a bnb. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean far enough away from blackpool to be peaceful and close enough to the tram stop to be really convenient. Great breakfast.

Our room was very modern very clean and tidy the breakfast was also lovely and procented to a high standard. we stayed for 3 nights and we couldn't ofhad a more welcoming hotel to stay at. We have even booked to stay again in September to take the children along this time.

Poor Wi-Fi have to use data. Hot water going cold every time we need to bath. Need to invest in furniture, no table to put things and drawers too old. Need to ask for juice for breakfast all the time as cups were like baby cups. When we ask for 5 toast as family of 5, we were given two. We were not comfortable asking for anything as you feel you bothering the lady. Theboy and man at the hotel were nice though but can't figure out the lady

Great hosts very friendly made us all feel welcome great breakfast. Stone throw from the beach. Tram Station across the road. Arcade across the road, takeaways and restaurants, local shop and sainsburys in the next street. Very quiet and great for the beach with just a handful of people on it, play park across the road aswel with swings for kids. Highly recommended. Quite far out from the centre which I was abit worried to start with but great in the end alot less walking than staying in the centre

We arrived in the evening and was met by the owner who was extremely welcoming. Our room was fab as they have sit the room into 2 seperate sleeping areas, giving us parents a little bit of privacy.Room was extremely clean and tidy. Plenty of space for clothing and a TV in each sleeping area.Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day.It's right in front if the beach and a 5 minute tram ride to the centre. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Small clean hotel just right for a short break. Also good value for money.Family room was really good as there were two rooms and the double room was small but adequate for two.The bar was not open due to Covid but there was plenty of places around. It is well outside of Blackpool so need to be prepared for a walk or tram rides but there were nice restaurants just round the corner

Good very friendly people. Only down side was we had top floor without a lift. This was not the owners fault though it was due to covid regulations. Maybe put things like this on for guests to know beforehand though. Breakfast was also really good. Comfy enough beds a room wasn't cramped either. Over all a pleasant stay.

Had a great stay at 242.Parked right outside the property.Pleasantly surprised on entering, looks like new carpets throughout, unlike some places we have stayed on previous visits to Blackpool area.Check in was smooth process.Sea view room was lovely, modern decor, nice bathroom, shower worked perfectly.Breakfast was very good, everything served at our table, due to covid.Staff were quick to stop me getting my own cereal when I attempted to do so, quite right.All staff very very warm and welcoming and my wife and I would definitely return.Bus and tram stops just a few yards from the property.

This is a quite location next to a (low tide only) quite beach. Great for a beach holiday.

It was very clean the room was perfect with sea view too???? And the breakfast was lovely! The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We would recommend this hotel highly and it is very reasonably priced too! Would definitely stay there if returned to Blackpool again.

Hotel is newly-renovated and really nice and clean.We get the sea view room.They serve a set breakfast and you can help yourself with different cereals, whilst waiting for your cooked meal. Great friendly accommodation, good value for money

Had family and grandkids felt so welcomed and looked after100% by all staff .l am a regular visitor to Blackpool and nothing compares to this stay.

Last minute break, picked this hotel because of the price, happily surprised with the high standard of friendly service we received, and the the cleanliness of our room, breakfast was lovely too. I would stay here again if visiting Blackpool.

This place is an absolute gem! We arrived early but were still able to check in to a beautiful ground floor family room with a separate sleeping area for my two children with their own tv, meaning privacy for us tired parents after a long drive. We managed to grab the last parking space outside too which was a huge surprise (and helped massively with unpacking/packing the car).The floorboards creak a little as do some of the doors but nothing we couldn't put up with now and again.Comfortable beds with well plumped up pillows and enough towels for everyone.Breakfast was great, plenty of it, full English along with unlimited toast and plenty of cereal varieties.Great little bar in the hotel next door and very reasonably priced.I choose Bispham after coming here for years as a child and we could not have booked a better place to stay.We will be back!

Stayed here for 3 days! We checked in late, due to transport being delayed and staff still welcomed us and were very friendly. Hotel was immaculate, room was very clean. Breakfast was a wide range and included a cooked breakfast what was very nice. Staff where great, extremely polite and could be approached at any time and were extremely helpful! Would definitely recommend to stay here and will definitely be returning!
